Saturday and Sunday is looking good for Rajnikant Starrer ‘Vettaiyan’ as the film saw a decent jump on Saturday and collected 1.30 Crores overall at the box office. The Friday numbers were very low and the film was able to make only 80 Lakhs. The film has a last chance on Sunday before the big film takes over the big screens in the coming 2-3 days.
The film is going to collect around 1.60 Crores on Sunday if we estimate the numbers by looking at advance booking and spot booking trends. Evening shows had decent occupancy of 25% at some places and night shows are going for around 29% for a few of the screens. Rest of the India is still flat.
The film will cross 250 Crores Globally today after decent collections on Saturday and Sunday from India. The film needs to hold for a few more days to get a respectable 150 crore in India but it looks impossible from here. The total collection In India is 144 Crores and chances are rare that film would be able to make anything after today.
