The box office was a shocker this weekend. With two big releases from the South Indian film Industry. both the films failed at the box office on Day 1 and the box office numbers were shocking for everyone. We have already covered the Day 1 numbers for Suriya Starrer Kanguva and now here are the box office numbers of Matka.
The buzz of Matka was not up to the mark even before its release and that is another reason behind these shockingly low numbers. The film collected only 80 Lakhs on Day 1 and this is one of the disastrous openings at the box office in recent times. The reviews and spot bookings were also poor for the film and that makes the collection even lesser.
Day 2 is going to witness another dip for the film and as per earl data, the film is expected to collect around 50 Lakhs on Day 2 taking the total collection of the film to 1.30 Crores in 2 Days. Here are the Daywise box office numbers for the film.
