Rajnikanth starrer Jailer was one of the most loved films this year and the film did great numbers at the box office. Now all eyes are on the next part of the film. The producer and director had already confirmed that they were going to make another part of the film and there was buzz that the film may release in the second half of 2025.
As per the latest report, the film is delayed by a few years and now the makers are planning to release the film by mid-2026. The film is not coming in 2025 for sure. Nelson wants to make the film bigger and better than its previous part and that’s why he needs more time on scripting and planning work of the film.
Makers are also okay with this decision of Nelson. The shoot of film was expected to begin in early 2025 but now the shooting of the film starts in mid-2025 and by following the same pattern, the film will release in 2026. The official release date will be finalized later.
Now, only one of Rajnikanth will release in 2025 which is coolie. The film is creating massive hype and hope the film turns out to be a success for both makers and the actor himself. Coolie is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and its stars Rajnikanth, Nagaarjuna and Upendra in the main lead roles. There are chances of Amir Khan’s cameo in the film however there is no official confirmation of it.
The film is being made by Sun Pictures, the same production house which was behind blockbuster Jailer.
