Suriya’s recent biggie Kanguva released a few days back at the box office and the film received a poor response at the box office. The film is struggling at the box office and now heading towards disaster. The latest report is coming from the Tamil Nadu Film council which is going to impact the YouTubers and media channels, especially from the Tamil film industry.
A resolution was passed by the Tamil Nadu Film Council today and they demand banning of reviews near cinema halls. As per the resolution, negative reviews on the day of release are the biggest reason behind the failure of films like ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Kanguva’. Suriya’s wife Jyothika also called out on negative reviews of Kanguva from Youtubers and that impacted the film badly.
There are reports that this rule is going to be implemented in Telugu states as well and if this happens then this is going to impact thousands of YouTube channels and media channels that take reviews and ratings from audiences outside the cinema halls. The rule is yet to be officially implemented and the board is still reviewing it.
In the last few months, lots of negativity has been spread on social media through various mediums and films like Vettiyan, Indian 2 and Now Kanguva faced lots of hate on social media. Now after the disastrous response of Kanguva, this decision has been taken by the TN Film Council.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of this rule in the future.
