If we look at the same day released with ‘Vettaiyan’ at the box office, the Rajnikant satrrer film is doing way better than the other films due to its Star Power. The film collected around 5.30 Crores on Sunday and the total Indian collection is around 135 Crores as of now in 11 Days.
The film is showing decent hold for Monday too if we look at the advance booking data. The film is expected to collect around 2 crores on Monday and this will take the total to around 137 crores. The film is looking to close its box office run under 150 Crores and it seems possible from here.
If we check the past records of Rajnikant films, this film failed to attain that level in terms of box office numbers. The film has a huge star cast and also Amitabh Bachan from Bollywood but the film failed to get any attention in Hindi belts and hardly collects anything. Another South Indian film Devara has collected decent money in Hindi regions and now all eyes are on Upcoming Pushpa 2 where stakes are high.
The film clashed with Hindi films like Jigra starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video starring Raj Kumar Rao and Tripti Dimri. Sadly all there fails to leave any mark on the box office. Here goes the Daywise Box office collection data for ‘Vettaiyan’.
