The two films that clashed on Dussehra weekend failed to get any momentum at the box office even after two weeks. The films were rejected by the audience and now the film is collecting in small numbers and moving to end their box office run by the end of this week.
Jigra which starred Alia Bhatt turned out to box office disaster due to the high budget of the film and on the other hand, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is going to be a semi-hit at the box office due to its low budget and slightly better performances than Jigra. The trailer of Raj Kumar Rao and Tripti Dimri’s starter clicked well but the film revived negative reviews from critics and audiences.
There were hopes that the film would do some miracle on the 2nd Sunday, but the film failed to show any significant growth and collected only 2.60 Crores on Holiday. The film is now going to face its 2nd Monday and box office numbers are not looking good for the film. As per early data and numbers, the film is going to be made around 1 Crore on Monday and this will take the total collection of the film to 34.20 Crores. The final numbers will be updated by Tonight.
There are chances the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will do great on OTTs when it is released on Netflix by Next month. Jigra on the other hand is facing lots of issues and Director Vasan Bala has given multiple statements regarding the film.
